BOOK DESCRIPTION

What if evangelism does not come naturally to you?

For many Christians, sharing the gospel feels intimidating, awkward, or reserved for those who seem especially gifted. Cecil Stalnaker understands that struggle. Drawing from decades of missionary, teaching, and ministry experience, he writes for ordinary believers who love Christ but often feel unsure, hesitant, or unprepared when opportunities to speak about Him arise.

Evangelism: Getting Better at It When It Doesn’t Come Naturally offers a biblical, practical, and encouraging path forward. Instead of pressuring readers into one rigid method, Stalnaker shows that the New Testament presents more than one faithful way to share the good news. He explains rapid, rapport, and relational evangelism, helping Christians think wisely about different people, settings, and opportunities.

At the heart of the book is the practical B.L.E.S.S.² approach, designed to help believers pray, build relationships, engage outsiders, serve with love, and speak clearly about both their own story and the story of Jesus. Each chapter includes reflection questions and action steps so readers can move from fear and guilt toward faithful, healthy witness.

This book is for Christians who want to obey the Great Commission but need help taking the next step—patiently, prayerfully, and realistically.
