BOOK DESCRIPTION
The book of Revelation can seem like an imposing mountain—filled with mysterious symbols, sweeping judgments, and competing interpretations. In Revelation: Biblical and Conceptual Commentary, Jong Gil Lee offers readers a thoughtful, text-centered guide through all twenty-two chapters of Scripture’s final book.
Respecting Revelation’s literary structure and chronological progression, Lee examines the letters to the seven churches, the seals, trumpets, and bowls, the rise and fall of earthly powers, Christ’s victorious return, the millennial kingdom, the final judgment, and the glory of the New Jerusalem. He interprets Revelation’s vivid imagery in light of its Old Testament background while carefully distinguishing God’s purposes for Israel, the church, and the created world.
More than a study of future events, this commentary presents Revelation as the grand completion of God’s redemptive plan. It calls believers to faithfulness, repentance, endurance, and confident hope in Jesus Christ—the Lamb who was slain, the returning King, and the Alpha and the Omega.
Written for pastors, teachers, students, and serious Bible readers, this volume illuminates Revelation as a message not of confusion, but of divine sovereignty, certain judgment, complete redemption, and everlasting hope.
